2017 MEETING ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

The FL ASM will publish the abstracts in the meeting program.  In order to incorporate your abstract and author information we ask that you format and submit your abstract using the following guidelines.

 

  1. Use Times new Roman, 12 point font.
  2. Use 1-inch margins on all borders.
  3. Text should be single-spaced.
  4. Left justify with indentations for new paragraphs.
  5. Abstract text should contain no more than 300 words and must fit into the text box provided.
  6. The preferred file format is Microsoft Word.
  7. Abstract title should be Mixed Font and bold typed.
  8. Presenting author should be in italics and indicated by an asterisk (*)
  9. Author affiliation, city, and state should follow each name.
  10. Format your abstract as shown:

 Briefly introduce the presentation topic.  List the study objective(s) to explain the rationale for conducting the study.  Indicate the study methods, results and conclusions. State the relevance of the study and any future work that may ensue as a result of this work.

 

Abstract text should not contain more than 300 words. Abstracts exceeding the provided text box space, including title, author names, affiliations, and text will not be accepted. We do not allow tables or graphics in the abstract. Do not list references in the abstract text or body.

 

Students whose abstracts are selected for the oral program should prepare 15-minute presentations PLUS five minutes for questions and transitions (total time slot is 20 minutes).  Posters should be no larger than the dimensions of  36" x 48".

 

Questions should be directed to FLASM. Complete and submit the registration form with your uploaded abstract.

 

Confirmations of received abstracts will be sent electronically. Acceptance of notification will be emailed.
